The Wonders of Arlia was the first campaign set in Arlia. It followed The Cacklers across the world as they raced the Rose Ribbon Army to collect the seven Star Orbs, picking up enemies, allies, and a long list of accidental murders along the way.
Premise
Arlia had gone centuries without a global empire. Then a private army calling itself the Rose Ribbon Army appeared in the East, destroying towns and leaving no survivors. In Ginger Town, The Ox-Queen summoned Greene, an army deserter, Juliette, a thief with a recent loss, and Elyon, whose mother had just been killed by the Thorned Rose. Her request to put out a cursed fire on Fire Mountain ended with the party holding the first Star Orb and learning the legend of Shenlong.
The party
- Greene, a Rose Ribbon deserter carrying Master Toshi’s Power Pole. He later learned he had been engineered by Dr. Gero.
- Juliette, a thief who had lost her husband and daughter.
- Elyon, who rode Toshi’s Flying Nimbus, trained under Master Korrin, and won the Collector’s tournament.
- Oolong, a kenku pirate found in a prison cell, whose true name is Tobi.
- Terra Misu Umber, a dwarf commander who deserted the army with her Umber Squad.
- Sophie Ghiradelli, the Gem “Emerald,” Terra’s ex and later her wife.
Frequent allies included Captain Barqs and the Crew of the Rootbeer Float, Bulma Briefs, Reese, Jebidiah, Goku, Tala, and Obsidian.

How it ended
At Muscle Tower, Commander Red revealed himself as Isidar the Conqueror and took the form of an ancient red dragon. Terra leapt off the tower onto him and killed him. With all seven orbs, the party summoned Shenlong, and Juliette wished to “Revive all of those that were killed by the Rose Ribbon Army.” Everyone the army had killed came back, and the army itself was gone.
Oolong flew off, leaving gifts for each of his friends. Terra and Sophie decided to turn the Collector’s Mansion into a school. Juliette went home to Will and their daughter. Greene took the helm of the Rootbeer Float toward North City, and Elyon rode away on her Nimbus. The Cacklers return twenty years later in Campaign 1.5 and as veteran heroes in Campaign 2.
