Tala is Oolong’s sister, a kenku who was held captive by The Collector and later fought beside the Cacklers. Through her, Oolong learned his real name, Tobi.
History
Captive
While the Cacklers hid at the Cackler Barrel, Oolong received a heartfelt message from Tala, who was being held by the Gem Sapphire in the Gems’ dorm. She passed on the core promise of their clan: “No bird left behind.” The Cacklers resolved to get Tala and Sophie back from the Collector right away.
With the party
Tala was with the Cacklers on Scotch on the Rocks. During the raid on Ibeesee’s casino she went with Greene, and they used his Power Pole to reach the second floor. At the Silent Vaults she turned into a giant eagle to carry Juliette and Oolong up to the vault, then flew back down to help the diversion team. When the Cacklers came out, she and a wildfire spirit were standing between three Rose Ribbon soldiers and the unconscious Goku, Reese and Sophie.
While she traveled with the party, Tala told Oolong that his real name was Tobi.
In the FeyWild
When the Cacklers went into The FeyWild to find Terra Misu Umber, Oolong sent Tala a message. She answered, “It is so good to hear from you. It has been so long. I will be there with such haste.” When he asked how long it had been for her, the answer was years. The party also learned that the local Uknekian people had been on the run, attacked by crystal-like beings.
