Quick facts
Type: Technology company · CEO: Bulma Briefs · Location: West City (C1) · Status: Active (as of C2 Session 83)
Capsule Corp is the technology company run by Bulma Briefs, “where science and technology converge in a dazzling display of innovation and wonder.” Its capsules saved The Cacklers more than once, and in Campaign 2 its new airship design has made it a target for the Velvet Truffle Company.
History
Campaign 1
The Cacklers found Capsule Corp in a half-ruined West City while looking for Juliette’s old contact Reese, who was working there. Through him they met the CEO, Bulma Briefs. When King Piccolo turned on the crowd at Emperor Pilaf’s speech, Bulma used a capsule to open a teleportation circle and took the party to her father Dr. Briefs’s lab in Parmesan Diego. Later capsules carried the party from Parmesan Diego to North City, and Bulma agreed to make Greene a backup teleportation capsule for the war.
Campaign 2
Bulma’s inventions show up throughout North City. She uses a foam capsule to pin attackers, a mechanical arm that teleports people out of the Cackler Barrel, and air conditioning, her newest invention (Session 60, Session 67, Session 70). She gave Wilbur a shock pistol and a capsule case of tactical tools (Session 66, Session 68).
Business ties. Capsule Corp has contracts with the Velvet Truffle Company. The Pale Fang offered a 250,000 gold contract on Bulma’s life (Session 57), and the assassin Fable Reverie said he took the job because her VTC dealings were “a blight on the world” (Session 67). Bulma has admitted she can’t track where all her money goes and fears it is ending up in shady hands (Session 70). The Machine of Coghaven counted Capsule Corp among the big companies it manufactured goods for, alongside the VTC and KrawlMart (Session 73).
The airship. Airships normally need brumestone. Bulma had been working on an alternative and agreed to convert the FAM’s ship (Session 70). The result was the first airship not powered by magic, a ship’s frame lifted by helicopter propellers (Session 80). Cadbury Vex of the VTC wants fifty years of exclusive manufacturing rights; he reasons that whoever owns the sky owns the movement of everything, and he plans to buy whatever Capsule Corp is leveraged against if Bulma refuses (Session 71).
