Quick facts

Campaign: Campaign 2 · Session: 64 of 83 · Arc: North City and the Cell Games · Where: North City: CAGS, the warehouse district

The FAM was summoned to CAGS, where Nelda, Wilbur, and Kip vouched for Escher while admitting they had known nothing about his theft. The Cacklers revealed that five of the seven Star Orbs had already been stolen around the world, and they were deeply worried about the timing so close to The Cell Games. To settle things, Bulma suggested that Escher enroll as a student at the Academy under Oolong’s supervision, to give his talents some direction. As the party was dismissed to debrief at a tavern, Wilbur received a secret note from Bulma, an invitation to a private date later that evening.

During a tense debrief in which Wilbur and Nelda confronted Escher about his secrecy, something cosmic happened elsewhere. Ruby of the Cacklers (see Campaign 1.5) had a vision in which the god The Trickster admitted he had started a civil war among the deities (The War in the Heavens) by intercepting divine invitations and rerouting mortal prayers. In North City, Wilbur got ready for his date, unaware of Escher’s warning that Bulma was involved with the Velvet Truffle Company. Meanwhile, Ellery went for a run through the warehouse district and came across Goku and Vegeta just as The Whisper confronted them.

The Whisper revealed he had abducted Goku’s son, Gohan, as leverage, and taunted the Saiyans about their hidden physiology. He held up the magical crescent item he had stolen from Ellery’s bag and shattered it in the sky, shouting the command to “burst open and mix.” The burst of light simulated a solar eclipse and set off an immediate, violent transformation. Ellery, Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan became massive, rampaging Ozaroo apes. Their roars echoed through North City as the Cacklers and the rest of the FAM rushed to the warehouse district to stop the destruction.
