Green Hollow is a halfling farming village and Kip’s hometown. It lies down a quiet, less-traveled road that splits off from the way to Brinewick Hollow.
Description
Green Hollow is farm country, home to the Oakhart family’s turnip fields and the Elmheart family. The town’s goddess is Cyrollellee, though her old temple outside town lies in ruins. Town life centers on the Farmer’s Hoe, a tavern where the village gathers. Each year it holds the Cornucopia festival, and when The FAM arrived the village was in “prep mode,” with banners going up and crates of turnips lining the square (Session 50). The village has its own halfling guards.
History
Kip’s ex-fiancée Alana Elmheart and her father Sawyer Elmheart held a magical marriage contract that cut Kip’s family out of their farm. When Kip came home to help his mother, his brother Pipkin sided with the contract and Alana watched the party from the shadows with a group of intimidating halflings.
At the Cornucopia festival in the Farmer’s Hoe, Kip tried to prove with a Zone of Truth that he had been tricked, and Alana removed his mouth. The party nearly came to blows with the townspeople and halfling guards. Then Kip collapsed, apparently dead, and while the party fought Sawyer’s cultists in the tavern, “horrid plants” burst from the kitchen and spread chaos through the village (Session 51). Arghen stayed behind and cleared the Farmer’s Hoe of the grotesque, cabbage-like creatures with his axe (Session 53).
After Sawyer’s death, the party learned from his journal that he had plotted to seize control of the region’s turnip exports. In Session 62 Kip learned that the Velvet Truffle Company’s influence was spreading toward Green Hollow, and he sent his family to the Saiyan Compound.
