Campaign: Campaign 2 · Session: 55 of 83 · Arc: Green Hollow and the Cult of Brandoboris · Where: The Temple of Cyrollellee; Brinewick Hollow

The party cleared Sawyer’s office, destroying a mimic disguised as a chair, and found a hidden cache of gold, a ledger of ghost petal shipments, and a journal laying out Sawyer’s plot to seize control of the region’s turnip exports.

They traveled to Brinewick Hollow to investigate “the Gavel,” the retired judge Vellum, who was implicated in the illegal ghost petal trade with the Velvet Truffle Company. Escher and Arghen scouted the town’s outskirts and carriage routes for ambush sites, while Nelda, Ellery, and Kip did reconnaissance in the town center. Ellery turned invisible and slipped into the Judge’s gated estate, studying the grounds and spotting a possibly vulnerable third-floor window in the sprawling mansion. Nelda intercepted the Judge’s mail and found a letter in Elvish from Lazra Vant, a Velvet Truffle Company correspondent on the Saline Coast, confirming the Judge’s high-level ties to the company.

The group met to finalize a plan to kill Judge Vellum, debating whether to burn down his house or stage a deadly “business deal gone wrong.” Escher met his handler, Lint, who identified ghost petals as a rare contact toxin that causes a 48-hour false death indistinguishable from the real thing. The party tracked down and recaptured the halfling Pella to use as a pawn in a staged delivery meant to draw the Judge into the open. That night they kept watch while hiding out at Pella’s home, and Ellery gave Kip a handwritten guide on how to process his recent brush with death.
