Quick facts
Type: City · Location: western continent · Notable resident: Raviki · Admission: voes (men) are not allowed in
Cherudo Beach is a city that does not admit men, whom its people call “voes.” It has a library, and the sorceress Raviki kept a vault of valuable books there.
History
Greene and Oolong were first turned away at Cherudo Beach for the “dangly bits between their legs.” Elyon went in and checked out the book about Toasty that led the party to the Toasty Temple (C1 Chapter 02).
The Cacklers came back looking for the Manual of Quickness and Action. Again only Elyon and Juliette were let in, and a guard sneered at the voes. The librarian confirmed the book was locked in Raviki’s vault. Outside the gates, Oolong’s use of the Deck of Many Things left the magician David the Amazing Davvers a soulless shell, and the Cacklers finished him off.
The party robbed Raviki’s vault, set her on fire, and escaped. Among her books they found her negotiations with Sergeant Saffron of the Rose Ribbon Army to hand Cherudo Beach over to the army as a port onto the western continent. They used that to turn Raviki’s assistant, Karita, into a local hero who had broken in because she suspected treason (C1 Chapter 13).
