Quick facts
Role: Captain of The Odd At Sea · Faction: Crew of the Odd At Sea · Status: Alive (as of C2 Session 83)
Captain Teft commands the ship The FAM took from Kellem Stormforge, and he made sure his crew got a union contract out of the deal. He has been their captain, ferryman and wage collector ever since.
History
When Nelda approached the ship pretending to be a friend, Teft revealed that he disliked its owner, Stormforge. He told the party that if they could legally remove Stormforge and produce a writ of ownership, he and his crew would work for them. Once they had it, Teft presented a union contract covering weekly wages, a share of profits, and universal healthcare. As the ship set sail under new management, he pointed out a merchant vessel on the horizon.
Teft answered Escher’s question about whether there was a tattoo artist aboard, and as the ship pulled into the Saline Coast after Buttermere, he asked the party what they had decided to rename it to avoid VTC suspicion.
After the Cell Games, Teft greeted the party in North City’s harbor with the reminder that seventeen days of wages were owed. He then took the ship on as a decoy. While the party was in Coghaven, he checked in by sending stone with news that the ship was airborne and that the VTC appeared to have taken the bait. He met the party in Udon Heights and welcomed Wilbur aboard the first airship not powered by magic.
When VTC forces surrounded the Mercenary’s Rest, the party called Teft to meet them at the nearest exit.
