Quick facts
Campaign: Campaign 2 · Session: 77 of 83 · Arc: Coghaven · Where: Coghaven, the forge
The party descended into the forge by misty step and leaps, and Kip swan-dived over the edge before being caught at the last moment. Otto joined the fight with Wilbur’s laser pistol, shouting the Black Parade’s motto, “We carry on.” A construct slowed Ellery with a burst of blue-glowing energy. Escher was knocked unconscious for an hour, and a punishing blow to Ellery stunned her and forced her tail back out of her body. Kip found and pulled a large lever beside the lava, shutting the forge down and freezing the hammer-handed golem mid-swing as the lava drained. Otto lay unconscious at the top of the stairs. Wilbur salvaged parts from the slowing construct that he thought he could build into a device that casts slow.
When the floor had drained, Kip swan-dived once more, landing beside a metal door still glowing from the heat. Refusing to wait for it to cool, Ellery heaved it open with her bare hands and burned them badly. A slope led down into a cavern littered with robot scraps. The party heard rumbling behind them and things moving deeper in the caverns, and pressed on without rest.
