Quick facts
Race: Gnome · Faction: Black Parade · Home: Coghaven · Status: Alive (as of C2 Session 83)
Otto is a Black Parade member who spent months hiding in Coghaven’s catacombs before The FAM found him. He guided them to the forge and fought beside them there.
History
Otto infiltrated Coghaven with Goric five years before the party arrived, and their whole team was captured. He escaped months ago and survived in the catacombs on nothing but mushrooms, which left him pale and dusty from years without sun.
After the party went down through the Chancellor’s vault, a pebble falling from the ceiling led Kip to spot Otto clinging to an alcove above them. The party fed him. Otto told them hundreds of thousands of gnomes labored down the manufacturing path, that everything leaving the city passed through the heavily guarded Packaging, Shipping & Logistics, and that the forge was the least guarded. He had seen a prisoner taken there about a month earlier, so the party headed right.
At the forge Otto explained that shutting it off would drain the lava and reveal secret entrances to the sublevel below. He joined the fight with Wilbur’s laser pistol, shouting the Black Parade’s motto, “We carry on,” and ended up unconscious at the top of the stairs.
After the city was freed, Otto suggested the party check the hidden teleportation bay, which led them to Udon Heights.
