The Obsidian Spire is a dungeon said to hold something that could rewrite fate. Years ago, Bran’s Old Adventuring Party went there looking for it, and it is where they lost Elara Sunshadow.
History
Bran, Sylas Riverstride, Victor Blackwood and Elara Sunshadow went looking for an “object that changes fate.” In the fight against the spectral wraith guarding the Spire’s heart, Bran and Sylas ended up on opposite sides of a chasm with Elara caught in the middle. Bran hesitated, Elara was lost, and Sylas has blamed him ever since. Both men loved her.
Sylas suspected that Victor pocketed the artifact during the failed quest. In Session 26, Victor admitted he had it: a small black and purple chest.
Elara was presumed dead for years, until The FAM found her in a vat in Coghaven.
