Salted Caramel Cove is one of the Velvet Truffle Company’s island havens: a VTC-controlled island with a sand barge and an underwater company base. The company uses its havens for controlled movement of cargo and for private operations. The FAM followed the gold dragon Khalor here in Session 34.
Overview
The haven is run by Commandant Soren Grell, Commandant of Haven Operations, who keeps asking for a bigger haven budget. One of his shipments cleared customs at the Cove with two crates flagged, waved through by an inspector on the VTC’s payroll.
Known events
- The stolen chest (Session 34). The party arrived hunting the dragon that had stolen the chest from the shipwreck. A dockworker denied seeing any dragon and told them to leave. Escher turned invisible and slipped inside, following Commandant Grell, and overheard that the company had the chest and was sending it to a “mistress.” He watched it strapped to the back of a whale, which was The Gnoloo in disguise, and the whale swam off toward Chonkerton. - The visit set up Arghen’s vow to kill the dragon and the party’s plan to take a ship of their own (Session 35).
