Quick facts
Campaign: Campaign 2 · Session: 23 of 83 · Arc: Curses, Sewers, and the Closing Ceremonies · Where: Saline Coast, Rusty Anchor, Saline Coast Sewers
Nelda’s struggle with the cursed glaive reached a breaking point. She told the group that it was making her hear voices and feel crazy, and that it would not let her let go of it. The group tried to step in. Escher tried to snatch the weapon, but Nelda, under its influence, fought to keep it. When Ellery and Escher tried to restrain her, she held them both in place with a spell and took her glaive back.
Afterward Nelda was overwhelmed with relief and apologized, explaining that the weapon had been tormenting her. The group comforted her. In a shared moment of vulnerability, Escher admitted that he too had been hearing a mysterious voice. After a brief, awkward exchange, it came out that the voice belonged to The Whisper.
With the crisis over, the group returned to the larger conspiracy. Following a lead on the source of the magical disturbances, they took a stairwell in the Rusty Anchor down into the city’s sewers, wondering what dangers waited beneath the Saline Coast.
